This stunning Mater Prize Home on the Gold Coast showcases a mix of vertical wire balustrade, horizontal wire balustrade and glass balustrade.
The designer opted for glass for the house balconies with wire balustrade for all the outside areas.
The modern streamline vertical balustrade system provides the required safety associated with pool fencing, but with a few added benefits. Wire systems are easy to maintain and clean. With the pool fence so close to the water it is common for the fence to get splashed. Glass would require regularly cleaning to remove the chlorine/saltwater watermarks whereas with wire the water will just splash through. Although glass fencing is a common material for pool fencing it does create a mirror effect at night time. The wire balustrade pool fencing gives the safety without compromising the view, which you can see through unobstructed night and day.
The vertical wire balustrade was installed using the Nutsert Swage Stud System on the base with a ProRig Flip Toggle into the handrail. 50mm square mirror polished posts and handrail were used throughout.
